Funded by the Help America Vote Act of 2002, the Protection and Advocacy for Voting Access (PAVA) program has been established to advance the participation of individuals with disabilities in the electoral process. We are focusing the use of our allotted money on training, education, and assistance. We offer services regarding voter rights and responsibilities, voter registration, and Election Day access.

Actual poll site accessibility is also a priority of Iowa P&A, and we can provide a grievance form for voters to file a complaint or possibly pursue other legal action. In turn, Iowa P&A is involved with the Secretary of State's office with HAVA planning and implementation to ensure the rights of persons with disabilities are included.
