Sign-ups for 2023 are now open until January 31, 2023!

How Does It Work?

At the kick-off party in February, the total group of members (typically around 120-140) is divided into smaller groups of 12 up to 14 people each. These smaller groups meet for five dinners over the course of the year, which comes down to about once every two months. The host decides on the menu and everyone brings a dish. Not everybody has to host and you can also team up with another group member to host.

We are celebrating our 16th annual Inman Diners kick-off event on Saturday, Feb. 11 at 7:00pm at the Mebius’ home (860 Euclid Avenue).

This kick-off is your chance to meet your fellow Inman Diners and to sit down with your group to do some planning for the rest of the year. Make sure to bring your calendar! And since these are Covid times, depending on the situation at any given time, you may be required to show proof of vaccination and wear a mask.

We cannot stress enough that the other requirement we have is that you must commit to show up for each and every one of your group’s five dinners. The dates are completely flexible and your group can decide which ones work best for you. I am stressing this, because the entire concept is based on full attendance.

The goal is for neighbors getting to know each other. On a higher level than you get from chatting while walking the dog, meeting at a party or even sharing an occasional dinner. If a dinner has only 6 or 8 participants and several of them know each other already, many chances to get to know more neighbors are wasted.

The Fabulous Inman Diners are not about high cuisine, large dining rooms, blind dates, or anything else. This is about good times, getting to know each other and being able to walk home after some delicious eating and drinking with friends.
